Their first outlet in Old Klang Road was doing such good business that they deemed fit to open one here. As someone who likes to jump on the bandwagon (when everyone else has left), I thought it'll be good to come here for lunch.

Mushroom carbonara RM 17.90: fettucine with cream sauce and mushrooms
It was rather unexpected that they came over to the table and started to grate the cheese block onto that fine stringy white stuff you see here. I don't recall any other place that does this. Or perhaps, my uncultured self hasn't been to enough high brow places.

The cheese flavor was rather quite strong and didn't lose out to the mushroom's equally strong flavor. Anyhow, as impressive as it was, the pasta was just OK. Maybe it was due to the lack of meat.

Vongole du Classique RM 21.90: Fedelini cooked in traditional style with garlic, olive oil, parsley, tomato and fresh basil.
I thought that this is a classic, clean vongole pasta but it turned out to be quite the contrary.  When it first arrived at the table, the smell was so good that I immediately dig in. Although there were fewer than 10 clams (all of them are barely the size of my thumb), you can taste the seafood flavor on the pasta and its sauce. After not too long, another flavor started to rear its head in a very unfortunate pronounced manner: garlic.

Lets just say that vampire will not touch you with a 10yard pole after/if you manage to finish this plate.

Pomodoro Meatball rm 14.90: juicy beef meatballs baked with cheese, chives and pomodoro sauce
Pomodoro is just a fancy name for tomato sauce. But, don't mistaken it for the technique.
If only the kitchen used the technique, maybe this starter of ours wouldn't end up being served after our pastas. Though having said that, it turned out to be the star of our lunch.

For someone who isn't a fan of tomato sauce, this one hit all the right notes. Not too sour, just enough to pique your appetite. The layer of melted cheese on top hides the meatballs underneath. It's almost unfortunate that the balls themselves were rather mediocre with some dryness in the middle.

No cafe visit would be complete without their Instagram-worthy dessert. Of course, it makes no difference if your camera quality is as deplorable as mine.

Tiramisu cake. Spongy layers in between of coffee icing cream, the cake just didn't impress overall.

Plain baked cheese caked. The simplest things are the best, as evident in this slice of light but heavenly cake. No complicated flavors or ingredients.
