Another hotel visit for work. Except this time, it's a bit more fun. Just a wee bit more fun. After all, if you don't put the element of fun in team building, nobody will show up for the next one.

It was on a Saturday morning. Traffic was light enough to allow some buffer for getting lost. The hotel itself is located near KLCC. What we didn't account for is the travel time from the car park to the lounge itself. If you park at the basement,  you'll need to take the lift to the ground floor first.

From there, switch to another lift that goes all the way up. There are enough floors to render even 4lifts insufficient as it took quite some time for any of those to arrive.

In the mean time, soak in that luxurious ambience. The floor is almost always busy with people going in and out of the entrance. Some tourist. Some locals. Some like us feeling out of place.

Up to the 32nd floor we go.

One of the perks of having a lot of money to splash or working in a company that sends you to swanky places is being treated like royalty. Or at least that's what I imagined they get. Love the pink roses. I like it so much that I think you should click on it for the full image and adore my handiwork. 😄

The lounge has an open area like this for people to chill and lounge. Since we were there for an event, we headed straight to the meeting room.

Look, there's the KLCC twin tower!

Here's another shot of it without Captain Obvious.

Having always been in there (the mall, not the towers), it's a nice change to see it in all its glory.

Another view. Not as majestic but still quite breathtaking with the amount of skyscrapers. I've never worked in downtown KL nor would I apply for a job there. The thought of commuting alone is enough to send shivers down my spine. Sure, there's the public transportation but KL always comes across as a very hectic city, a melting pot of office workers and beggars alike, sometimes it's hard to differentiate one from another.

Looking down, there's the KLCC park. Part of the day's activity included going there and searching for things. Do I feel better bonded with my fellow colleagues? Well, yes for the few hours.

But lets get back to the serious stuff because that's what we are here for. I think. Do you like to take the stationary home during such event? Unabashedly,  I do 😁Paper and pen are luxurious commodity in a household where you don't buy either of those. Being cheap aside, what could I possibly do with a stack of paper before it turns yellow or eaten by insects or simply ravaged by time? And pen.. The only time I use it is to fill up some form or rarely, doodling. The pen is used more frequently in the office but also happens to be lost/stolen more too.

Each table was setup in the same manner; with a bouquet right in the middle. I like that touch.

Even though the flowers are probably expiring soon, they are still a breath of fresh air to an otherwise mundane setting.

Proper glass to drink our bottled mineral water from. There was even a proper coffee machine using capsules of different types. Lets just say that I could have easily drank at least what would have cost RM 50 outside.

Of course, there had to be food because we are in Malaysia. Just when I thought I was late at 9.30am (the starting time), turned out that so was everyone else who underestimated the lift. For breakfast, it was a simple fare of cheese toast, oatmeal cookies and scrambled egg. Nothing fancy but enough to get us fueled up for some team spirit.

Tea time was a little more indulgent with different pastries and some savory snacks. However, we were still very stuffed from lunch so this was more of a taste test. Not sure if it's the timing or their pastry is a little stale and hard. However, they are great with the coffee.

Then when it's time to go, there's a toilet lavatory that's not too far away.

It's not a particularly impressive setup but still oozes some class.

Here's what else they have in there.
