You know when you find a new song that you keep playing it on loop until you get bored of it? That's what food places is like for me sometimes. Ideally, it would be to order different things during each visit. More often than not, though, it's almost always the same few because they taste that good.

Frame Thai really took off, thanks to social media. Funny when you think of how their Thai crew could scrapes by with minimal English. They started to offer takeaways, understanding how some folks are not keen on waiting.

But if you manage to arrive before the crowd does, enjoy a cup of their iced sweet tea with more ice than tea.

Somtam or papaya salad. The almost defacto Thai appetizer. It's only from this that I could accept raw long beans. The sugar and chili helps. A Lot.

Coconut milk soup. Or something. OK, I admit I made that up. Just don't order it unless you like a hint of lemon grass and chili in your light coconut milk soup with oyster mushroom. It was just a little challenging to appreciate.

Pad Thai or Thai style char kway teow.
Between this and Penang style, I have to say this would be my choice. A bit sweet with crunchy nuts. The bits of eggs sweeten the deal. Sure, it can be a bit more moist but heck, that's ok for once.

Thai char kway teow.
Doesn't it look suspiciously like our own? Luckily enough, it doesn't taste much like it but definitely not one I would order again. This one got nothing against pad thai.

Thai pork sausage and fillets. Similar to the kind that you can get at night markets, the spicy version has hints of chili and turmeric. A little different than the usual sausages from the butcher but still very enjoyable. As for the pork filet, they're thick enough to withstand some grilling time so you get a slight crisp around the edges. The key in both is the marinate.

I thought this was happening. Alas.... it didn't materialize.
