Located on the ground floor, it is managed (possibly) by the same people as Minato Yakitori. Even their shirt says Minato | Harbour. That's quite a dead giveaway. We were greeted by a Chinese man which I presume to be captain, if not the owner. It's a refreshing change from the non-local service every eatery provides these days.
Like all other steamboat joints, Harbour offers the usual sauces. Not pictured is the fried garlic. Yes, not shallots/onion but garlic. If you don't want to scare your date away, the chili sauces are not bad. The bright orange one is spicier while the dark red is slightly sweet but still spicy.
There is not set here so you can customize it to your liking. Just be ware. It also means that the bill can rake up quite high, quite fast. The thing about their menu is yes, it does come with prices. Each item comes in a full and half size. What constitutes as full? Well, your guess is as good mine. It was almost like playing Russian roulette and hope that you don't over/under order.
You can opt for either a full or half pot of soup. This is the herbal soup and pepper pork soup. Both are at RM8 for half a pot each. The former isn't that strong like those healthy herbal type. But the pepper one is on the opposite spectrum all together. It's as though they get pepper for free that they put in enough that you can smell it in the air as it boils away. You must have a strong
Fried fu pei (half) RM 4.50
This one has a wee bit of filling inside. Otherwise, it's crispy and made to order. Good with the chili. Also while waiting for the soup to boil which felt like an eternity. Apparently they tweaked the fire to be lower so that it won't burn the pot so easily 😒
Beef slices (half) RM7, pork slices (half) RM6, garoupa slices (half) RM7.50, dumplings (half) RM7, mushroom pork ball with fried tau pok (half) RM7, veggie RM 6
The veggie is perhaps the most expensive one because you could easily buy 2bundles of it from the grocer. But at least they cleaned it up and made it easier to throw into the pot on your behalf. I made the error of not opting for the thinner slices of meat. These were quite chunky so once cooked, they became thick meat slices. The balls were quite nice, you can taste bits of mushroom in them. Dumpling was also good with small prawns stuffed there.
The bill came up to RM 72 not inclusive of drinks. It's not cheap but you do get pretty good service and who doesn't like to eat steamboat in an enclosed air conditioned space without smelling food in the air?
