Occupying a corner lot that used to be
Secret Recipe, I always thought that they are just another Chinese medicinal store, not unlike
Eu Yang Sang. However, it turned out that I was wrong. Not only do they sell things to boost your health and virility (among others), they do serve food as well.
The shop itself is quite big as it was 2 lots combined into one. This is the cafe section which is fairly small and you may need to wait if it's during dinner time.
The place does attract a relatively younger crowd despite it being a medicinal store. After all, there's only that much of coffee you can have before mommy and daddy puts a stop to your spending spree. If they don't, care to adopt me?
The name itself already says it. So we ordered some herbal drinks to end the night. They have quite a variety of this, each serves a different function. Not sure if mission accomplished but Chinese medicine usually requires a routine and decent amount of time before it takes effect.
Since we already had dinner else where, we ordered only a dessert. And patient we had to be as they took their time to prepare our sweet ending.
Wonder butter waffle RM 5
It's not a big piece but hey, we were quite full from dinner anyway. Topped with an inch of butter, they drizzled it with honey to an otherwise bland waffle.
Turned out that the waffle was actually quite good. Crunchy around the edges, what's missing would be some chocolate sauce and ice cream.
