Despite being near-ish to Klang Valley, the drive there felt quite some distance. I can at least thank my lucky stars that it was the highway all the way and not some coastal, bumpy, pre-election road. We were there for bridesmaid duty in the morning and left to our own devices in the afternoon until the evening when we start to prepare for the dinner. It's funny how that is no longer just an idiom, a figure of speech but quite literal today.

With about 3hours to kill, we asked for suggestions and landed at this cafe. The neighborhood of Seremban Uptown is supposedly to be a close mimic of Damansara Uptown but what greeted us is really shoplots with Rent/Sale plastered all over them. Somehow, this Korean coffee cafe has survived.

 Cheese cake.

Mel's order so I didn't try as I wasn't going to ruin my lunch with dessert first. Turned out to be a wrong choice because my order took ages to arrive despite not many customers.

 Bros special latte RM 12
This came highly recommended and most certainly so. Instead of mixing it all for you, they placed the milk first followed by a shot of espresso on top. So, when it arrives, you can see that distinct milk layer at the bottom as the brown espresso streaks into it. While it's not a very big cup, I think it was the right amount. Not particularly bitter, goes down smoothly. Bonus: it's a cold drink sans ice so the flavor isn't diluted. At all.

 Pesto spaghetti ~RM26
The portion here does seem to be slightly smaller than average, given their price tag. For this, you get a plate of spaghetti with some sun dried tomatoes and chili, sprinkling of pine nuts and grated cheese.

Although it was quite good, we felt that it was a bit expensive since hey, this ain't KL/PJ.

Parmesan egg toast RM 17:  A great recipe of Parmesan cheese, eggs, butter and FRENCH BECHAMEL SAUCE that scatter on the crispy brioche, finally finishing off with arugula.
Is it the cheese that took a while to arrive? Or did the French chef get stuck in custom? Or perhaps the bread isn't rising fast enough, all these were just my speculation as to why this one took ages to arrive.

Given the amount of waiting, I was hoping for something that'll be better than this. Not that it tasted bad, but the eggs and cheese salad was a bit of a lost cause. It isn't an egg salad because you can't taste much of it. Nor was the cheese prominent. The only saving grace is the brioche that was toasted crispy yet light on the inside. It surprisingly held its crunchiness well despite the salad on top. Impressive.

 Avocado toast ~RM12
A last minute order since one was hungry before we were due to leave. Luckily, it didn't take as long as my egg toast to arrive. Maybe because all there is is just to slice the avocado and fry an egg?

Again, the toast was a surprise winner. However, we felt that the price is a little steep.
