Despite their name, Foo Hing is really famous for their Portuguese egg tart. You could drop by here and take away just the tarts. But if you're up for it, give their dim sum a try. This means waiting for a table, hoping that you can sit indoor instead of out with the potential risk of sweating like a pig. The place is packed but luckily, service is rather prompt.

Once settled down, you can place your order on an order chit and pass it to one of the waiters whizzing by. I'm not going into the details of each here but I'm happy to report that they were one of the better dim sum around. The meat doesn't taste too porky while the seafood variety wasn't fishy. They have some unique creations but those may have sold out if you're not there early enough.

One thing of note would be the char siew pao. They were quite small by average standard while charging you the usual amount. If normal size is a C cup, these would be an A. Also, they didn't have much filling, more bun only. The rest of the steamed dim sum were better in terms of price-to-size ratio.

Baked pork pastry. Love how crispy and pronounced the different layers are on the outside while the filling was a lovely savory sweet surprise. Almost threatened to crumble in your hand at first bite.

Lau sa pao that really lao is hard to come by. Even proper Chinese restaurants don't always get them right. Somehow, Foo Hing not only managed to but excelled while they're at it.

 Here's a video proof.
Easter egg: that's my scream at the abrupt end of the video because it started to flow onto my finger.

It won't do to come here and not have their egg tarts. Yes, you can bite into the different crunchy layers before sinking into the not-really sweet egg custard filling. Somehow, I find that the pastry is a little too loose to come together.
