Rekindle

Despite the slightly hefty price tag, it's nice to come here once in a blue moon and pretend that you are not secretly crying inside for paying so much for a slice of cake. Truthfully, there aren't that many cake shops/cafe that serve as good without charging you so much. If you know of any such place, please let me know.

 Salted caramel chocolate cake. This one is from the Damansara Utama branch which still sees a crowd at night. They also started serving beer upstairs but it feels weird to be having that with cake. Does it even work?

 Not that I would know but this cake had a nice layer of cream cheese icing on top. Somehow, the layers of cake didn't seem to hold together very well. Maybe not enough of cream in the middle? 😁

This one is at the SS2 branch. Decided to make it special by having a mocha which was thick and rich. Yes, also not cheap like their cakes but it's really the standard price everywhere. I know, I need to adjust my standards or stop being cheapskate.

 For some reason, this one didn't particularly seem to be as good as my previous visit. The nuts were candied or coated with caramelized sugar. They all should work out fine.

 The sponge cake felt dry at some parts though the mocha did come in handy.
