This cafe is a rather surprising find in this part of town. Located on the first floor, it's not a place that you would accidentally wonder into but it's worth the effort of climbing the staircase.
With an all black decor, only the yellow bulb brighten the place up (a bit).
It's funny how I was thinking about this place from my visit some time ago that it was a no brainer to suggest it again for a girls' night out.
Although it's a cafe serving coffee, they also have something boozy to make that night even more special. Coffee and alcohol in one cup, what more can you ask for? Oh yea, chairs with back rest for you to lean on.
Bitter sweet cocoa. That mini mountain is actually cream sprinkled with cocoa powder, meant to be taken with a sip of the alcoholic coffee at the bottom. I wouldn't say that it's a strong mix but quite bitter sans the cream.
This one was a little more lethal. So lethal that I forgot its name ⛾ If you prefer the alcohol to be more pronounced, this is the one for you.
There used to be a bar at the back of this cafe (a
speakeasy) but they've since closed down. The barista in Olfactory Bulb, however, did say that if you're looking for something from the bar's menu, they'll be more than happy to prepare it from you.
Apart from drinks, their desserts are also on the special side (read: alcoholic).
Sangria mess. Vanilla ice cream sitting on top of broken pieces of waffles, nuts, cranberries and chocolate. Kids would love this if you don't mind the potential mess.
Drunken brownie. Cubes of alcoholic brownies support the ice cream with chopped nuts. If you're looking for an indulgent dessert, you most certainly can't go wrong here.
Whipped & whisked waffles. Same pieces of waffles, toasted mini marshmallow and chopped nuts, there's a drizzle of alcohol but nothing too strong.
You can go full throttle with an equally alcoholic coffee (they have both hot and cold) to complete the night.
