Movies: Blade Runner (1982)

Everyone is looking forward to the 2049 version and here I am reviewing the one that's older than me. Starring Harrison Ford, he does look dashing and is quite good at the role.

Based on the premise of robots being able to think, it's a world where they revolt against the human. Then you think about how silly robot cleaner can't even distinguish between proper dirt and dog poop, how is it possible that robots will one day rule the world?

Unlike that other old movie, I either got a less-than-desired quality or it just screams 80s from start right till the end. Their version of 2019 (that's 2years away from now) is amusing, to say the least:
  • flying cars - not happening
  • land cars with doors that open up like in Back to the Future movie - seriously, what gave them the idea?
  • transparent coats - ok, we got the umbrellas but jackets?
The one thing that I would really like to have is that the hair dryer. Come on, people, you still got 2 more years. But make sure that my hair don't come up all puffed like Farah Fawcett.
