Touted as one of the best fried chicken in Klang Valley, Lim Fried Chicken or simply, LFC can certainly give KFC a run for their money. Operating from this stall in Wong Soon Kee after the lunch hour, the queue can extend until outside the restaurant as patrons pick what to go with their chicken. Namely, rice or noodles (chee cheong fun), with or without veggie. However, if you have my level of patience (read: near zilch), you can go to their son's shop in SS15 instead where you get the same stuff. Minus the queuing up. Of course, that area presents a different problem: parking.

I like that their chicken are deep fried until perfection i.e. crispy skin, meat thoroughly cooked yet still juicy on the inside. Their cut is certainly huge and makes KFC's chicken seem anorexic in comparison. I opted for the noodle with curry which was cold, in stark contrast with the freshly fried poultry.

If you want to get your fried chicken fix before or around lunch time, their SS15 would be your only choice (unless you want to go to Puchong, their 3rd branch). This time around, curry was my option and boy, oh boy, you can taste the creamy curry with the soft velvety smooth noodle. The chicken also didn't fail, being hot and juicy, I highly suspect that they are fried to order instead of pre-cooked and left to sit on the outside until an order comes in as the meat came to the table piping hot. The crispy skin and succulent meat are certainly worth breaking your diet for. Damage was close to RM 10 which is comparable to KFC but hey, those are mighty thighs we are talking about here.

One thing that crossed my mind is: why hasn't anybody tried to emulate KFC's hot & spicy?
