Best of the lot

Not the exact definition but close enough to describe one of my previous jobs. Being better than them either made them feel inferior or their incompetency drove them to act in such a manner. Perhaps, they are just ... like that? It wasn't the best years of my life though it did teach me a thing or two. Also one of the few jobs that I grew to like. Sure, there were bountiful of idiots challenges but where's the fun in smooth sailing? Like they say, a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.

Sometimes though, office politics can turn ugly.
