LGK turned me 32: Rest your weary body

After we landed, next question was how to get around. There was no proper itinerary and most of the decisions were made on the spot. After a bit of deliberation and much Googling (happy to report that Maxis' data coverage on Langkawi is pretty good. Even better than some parts of Klang Valley), we decided to rent a car. It came up to RM 160 for 3days. Deposit of RM 50 that's refundable when you return the car in the same condition you received it.

Our ride was an auto transmission Myvi. Good enough since it was for two. Unfortunately (or not), I didn't bring my driving license along so no chance of me driving.

The car came with little fuel that the indicator was bleeping away once we started the engine. Being in a foreign land, Waze/Google Map was to be our tour guide. First things first: refuel.
Neither of us were familiar with the place so we placed our complete trust in Google Map. Not only did it bring us to uncharted territory, the greenery was a welcomed change of scenery. The downside was, neither of us knew how much was left in the petrol tank and the further we followed the navigation, the more it didn't make sense.

Especially when all you see are wild grass taller than your car. The occasional cows. And eventually, a frigging dead end where the kiosk should have been -_-""""
Somehow, we did manage to make it to the petrol kiosk without having  to push the engine or call for help.

Booked via Agoda, our 3days 2nights stay came up to less than RM 300. Me thinks. It was supposed to be my birthday present.

The public area which was either unused or there wasn't any other guest during our stay.

There aren't many rooms available so the area is relatively small. There was also a construction going on so it did get a little annoying with the hammering. Other than that, it is a relatively quiet area.

To be honest, the room was a little bit of a disappointment. Sure, it was relatively spacious but the main bedroom didn't have much of natural lighting as the sunlight is partially blocked by the wall that separated the front 'living' room once you enter the 'deluxe villa'. Also, there were few large water patches on the walls. Thankfully, the room was rather bright once you switch on the fluorescent tube. Happy to report that the air conditioner works well too.

Bed was quite stiff. Same goes to their pillow.

This is all that's provided. Basic as basic gets =\
You get what you paid for. Thankfully I brought along my own shampoo.

The toilet was equally spacious. More than my own toilet back home. Unfortunately, the water heater doesn't work. Not so bad if it didn't mean having to jump out of a cold shower and into a cold room.

One good thing is the wifi connection. Pretty strong and speedy too.
Would I recommend this place? Well, if you are strapped for money and don't care much, sure.
