Located opposite an Indian temple, you may just have the pleasure of listening to their prayers if you come at the right time. As for me, I wasn't expecting anything so that was a little shocking. The music is loud enough even inside the restaurant. Not very conducive for decent conversation but that's really not what you would/should come here for.

Banana leaf rice is as simple as it gets. You get some rice, the dishes of the day and add on any meat that you would like. Be it curry or just fried, a hearty meal is guaranteed. This is one of the places that people rave about. Personally, I find that it's all right. The curry were decent. So were the vegetarian dishes. We ordered a fried chicken and curry mutton for protein. Those were not bad. Overall, it wasn't bad but certainly not one I would make a trip specifically for.
