Although they opened back in 2017/2016, Crema Crema saw the need for a new soft relaunch. Gone are the old menu. Which also means that you may not be able to order some of the things you see here. Not that that's a bad thing...Pj New Town,

Capuccino RM11
They used to have their menu on a board behind the coffee counter but that's been scrapped off (literally). Maybe it's a new management's direction?
Iced lemonade RM 9 & iced latte RM 11
If you can't tell by now, my first visit there was some time back and it didn't leave us with a good impression. For starters, we were the only customers (just 4pax), it was barely lunch hour (11am) yet the food took ages to arrive. The staff was barely around for us to complain. But since it was a (supposedly) joyous occasion that brought us together that day, we tried not to let it get to us (too much). The drinks were just all right.
Chicken chop v2.0 RM 20: grilled whole chicken leg served with buttered cranberry rice, baked potato topped with sour cream, greens and mushroom sauce.
Perhaps it was the hunger but I quite liked this one. The rice had a hint of butter with some sweetness from the cranberry. Asian with a Western twist. Potato was just so-so. As for the chicken, it was grilled until the skin was crispy. Sauce was quite good.
Eggs Benedict RM 26: Poached eggs served on fresh portobello mushroom, baked tomatoes, salad and waffles topped with homemade hollandaise sauce
jl didn't lke this much. The sauce didn't taste like it should. Waffle wasn't crispy enough. A disappointment to say the least after all the waiting.
Seafood aglio olio RM 23: onions, garlic, black olives, peppers and dried chillies topped with fesh prawn and mussels
You would think that this is one that's hard to get wrong but that they did. Well, I don't know for sure because this wasn't mine. Perhaps it was from all the waiting that the expectation heaped up too high so it was yet another disappointment.
Sloppy egg mush RM 2: poached egg on waffle with sauteed mushroom and chicken bolognese
Think of this as the pasta but without the pasta. They managed to poach the eggs right but all in all, it was just an ordinary dish.
Sometime after our first dismal visit, we found ourselves again in this part of town searching for dessert. Miraculous to find that the place is still open with no other viable option around, we decided to give them another chance.
Salted egg yolk and nutella croissants RM 8. Obviously both are in their own croissants.
It is nowhere close to this but you can taste the salted egg there. Like lots of it. Maybe even a bit too much. I think they baked this to order as the middle center filling was still in a soft paste form by the time we got to it. No oozing action 😐The only consolation is the flaky croissant layers.
One thing that people need to stop labeling is their crappy chocolate as Nutella. I know when I taste low level cooking chocolate quality because I've used them far too much in my baking (mis)adventures to tell. That aside, at least this one was oozing. Flooding is probably a more appropriate word as immediately upon splicing it in the middle, all the chocolate came out. If not for the type of chocolate used, this would have been a great dessert.
Hopefully the relaunching means that they'll fix their service and improve their food.
