Movies: Stay (2005)

After his rather juvenile act in Trainspotting, Ewan McGregor looks equally at ease playing a psychiatrist opposite a suicidal man played by Ryan Gosling. Naomi Watts doesn't quite add to the plot, playing more of an eye candy. There aren't many characters to begin with but they were slowly introduced in time. Most of them are rather notable in their own rights.

A seemingly normal session turns around when McGregor's character gets a sense of dejavu. Gosling plays the depressed man quite well though he didn't have much to say. I wouldn't call him just another pretty face as he delivered fairly well like in Blue Valentine.

This movie kept me riveted even though it was past my bedtime. Definitely one not to be missed.
