Movies: The Discovery

For some odd reason, my mind has been plagued with the idea of afterlife. Or a lack of it. The gravitational waves, search for another habitable planet, discovery of living microorganism, I wonder what it would mean to die. Do our souls leave our bodies and go up to look upon the living? Do our consciousness translate into something else? What happens when we take our last breath?

The news isn't helping much. The book only reinforced the fact there is life after death. This movie certainly heightened the thought. It isn't a movie with much action, nor does it explain much about how the afterlife was scientifically proven, just the consequences of such news to the masses. Sadly though, it took a Hollywood ending which failed the movie but probably made it more relate-able to the masses.

While I had slightly high hopes of it helping me to close the gap, the movie did nothing of that. If anything, it did spark the flame further.
