Take a break

Apart from whipping up Malay dishes, Idaman also sells snacks for that midday slump. The problem is they are rather busy during lunch till early evening so you'll have to be patient and hope that they don't run out of this:
keropok
Generally, there are  2 versions of them:
  • lekor
  • keping
My preference is for keping as it's thinner and crunchy whereas lekor is the thick type, more of a mini meal (if you eat enough) than a snack. The best keropok keping are the really thin ones and long enough for you to break into smaller pieces. Sweet chili sauce is optional but without is best for keping while lekor pairs well with.

It is definitely not a healthy snack but really cheap and you know what they all say, belilah barangan buatan Malaysia! 🌤

Silap hari bulan, even our keropok is imported from Thailand or even China. 😂
