Thing I Learnt - 7 June

For a book that was published in 1877, is it surprising that nothing much has changed?
I find it sad that there is a need for feminism, girl power etc in order for women to progress in today's world. The reality is that women and men are not created equal. There are parts of which both fill and complete in the other.

Someone told me once how it is dangerous for a women to be too self sufficient, too self reliant that the man feels there is no need for his presence in her life. That was a shocker because I always thought that men want women who are independent, able to take care of themselves. Maybe it's their ego that needs stroking.

But one thing that rings true for both sexes:

the only limits are the ones that you set on yourself.
