Sushi Zanmai, Citta Mall

Being the only more respectable Japanese restaurant in this mall certainly has its perks. As the restaurant is fairly small, the waiting line is understandably long during dinner hours. Do you prefer to pick your sushi off the kaiten belt or made to your order? I do prefer the belt but the latter guarantees the food is freshly made (sometimes). While their prices is still relatively affordable, the portion size has indeed shrunk. But at least the quality is still top notch.

Hiyashi ramen. A cold noodle that brings some warmth to a hungry tummy. Kinda like a more atas version of the humble instant noodle. They amped it up with scallops and prawn (which actually had been halved to give the illusion of quantity). And yes, it's cold. Not icy cold though. Rather refreshing take on instant noodles.

Spicy braised chicken and tofu with egg. It's exactly what it sounds like. What's missing is only a bowl of hot rice. As it was not only spicy but hot, that can be a perfectly deadly combo for some. Hence, if you can't take the heat (figuratively and literally) yet a glutton for sinful good punishment in the form of hot spicy food, have a glass of iced water on standby. Very worth it.
