Kong Sai, Taman Paramount PJ

A very old joint that's been around for maybe the second generation now, Kong Sai serves homely Chinese dish for times when you're too lazy to cook them yourself. It was a rather appropriate lunch  choice for the parents too.

Stir fried potato leaves with garlic will always have a special place in my heart. Simple and when executed right, you have a veggie that's still crunchy and has a hint of garlic. Still all right to go for a kiss after that.

Bean curd with pork filling. A house specialty that would seem more appropriate in a noodle shop but they are great with rice too. Don't worry, they don't act like those magical foo chow balls that can turn into a nasty surprise. These are mild and juicy in a different way.

Pork pepper soup. Unfortunately, this one was a little off the mark. Not quite peppery enough.

Their signature dish: Steamed village chicken.
That glistening chicken skin, that juicy, succulent and well marinated meat, don't leave without ordering this. Brings back those lunar new year memories back in the kampung.
