Located in a rather secluded part of Jalan 222, I'd advise against coming here for dinner unless if it is in a group. Although the original branch is mucho nearer to home, we came here since we were in this part of town. At half past 8pm, the past was almost deserted. A far cry from the crowd in Mutiara Damansara. I used to think that nasi kukus is like nasi lemak. A rice, a meat and a side, all flooded by curry/chili. Nasi kukus is quite different in that it doesn't have that fragrant coconut milk infused into the rice. Instead, it is steamed, rendering the rice fluffier. The curry and/or chili play a key part as well.
To be honest, I still do prefer nasi lemak but it's not difficult to see why people are attracted to this. The chili sauce was very spicy while the curry isn't too creamy. Pineapple's puzzling but it does give the meal an interesting sweet diversion.
