Review: Mosin, TTDI

A favorite haunt of midnight owls for a good cheese naan, the place can get rather packed during the usual dinner hours. That's why we ended up here in the wee hours of the night. Half past 3am to be precise. The place was still open with few other tables of patrons having the munchies. Service was slow but maybe that's just their fatigue.

What's naan without tandoori chicken? A poor man's naan. I do prefer this over fried chicken but it also tend to cost more than KFC.
One key thing when dining here at night is not to take the sliced cucumber and onion. Those things can make you shit brick have diarrhea. Or so my source claims.
The chicken itself was cooked through and through. Spices well marinated, the meat was grilled to a juicy perfection. While it was slightly more fleshy than the one at Murni, it would be more filling if they used bigger/fatter/meatier chicken/cut.

Having been accustomed to cheese naan being served with condensed milk (thanks, Murni, for making me diabetic), a savory cheese naan is somewhat refreshing. You get the usual gravy of spicy mint, dhal and another spicy gravy which I don't know its name. The bread was slightly fluffy, cheese melted on the inside. Was it good enough to render another visit?
Specifically for it, no. If I was in the neighborhood and there's parking available, sure.

Now, this is an interesting take on the simple cheese naan. Dubbed the Taj Mahal naan (the waiter didn't know why it was named as such and yes, we asked), it's the cheese naan with tomato and carrot. Cheese on the inside and out, the flavor profile is interesting, to say the least. There is the slight citrus twist with some savory veggie taste. On a bad side, it can all be quite confusing. Oh, did I also mention that it has a hint of sweetness?
