After lunch, I wanted something sweet to end the meal and lunch date suggested this place which wasn't too far from his office. Since I had to drop him off anyway, it seemed a viable option.

The menu is rather limited but has extensive coffee options for all you hipsters-wannabe coffee-holics. Do note though that they have recently re-branded (recently being Nov 2015).

Espresso macchiato RM 8.50
When this arrived, the disbelief on my face must have been rather apparent because my date went, "I take it this isn't exactly what you thought it would be?".
More than ever, that question has been ringing in my head so often that it's like a broken wind up doll repeating over and over but there is just no way to shut it off without breaking the damn thing. Broken here not exactly a metaphor but a very real possibility.

My money shot.
Despite its diminutive size, it certainly packs a lot of caffeine. The smell of it was strong enough to start my bowel movement which thankfully didn't even after few hours.
This could be one of the reasons why anyone would flock to this almost middle of nowhere cafe.

Pair of 5minutes scones RM 5.50
Not a fan (or hater or disliker) of scones, they just happen to be the cheapest thing on the menu. They took awhile to arrive (didn't time if it was exactly 5minutes, sorry) but it was nice and warm. Fluffy on the inside. The strawberry jam was, as expected, slightly sour but nowhere unbearable. That pretty white swirl is not butter but cream. Cold cream on warm scone on a rainy afternoon while playing hooky could be the best possible thing ever.

And this was the end of our very first proper date.
