LGK turned me 32: A walk among the clouds

Once we reached the summit courtesy of the cable car, it was time to go for the star of the trip. Initial search on Google said that the bridge was closed for renovation which was a tad bit disappointing but hey, had my dose of sex cable car, that's better than nothing.

The stars must be shining upon me on my birthday because not only was the bridge open, the day was almost perfect for it. Ticket costs RM 10 as it's not included in the original package.

Given the amount of tracking, it's understandable why they didn't simply assume anyone would be up for a downhill mild jungle trekking for about 10minutes, depending on your stamina level. Going to the bridge was a downhill walk so it wasn't bad. However, in some parts, the path can get challenging especially when you don't have proper foot wear. My slipper narrowly survived the ordeal. My suggestion would be to go there with at least a canvas shoes, sports shoes would definitely be best.

But how many would want to pack a bulky pair of shoes on a leisurely getaway?
Unless if you were in town for the Ironman challenge. In that case, feel free to laugh at my poor stamina. And lifestyle. And exercise habits.

The view was (again) breathtaking. This was truly the highlight of the trip (apart from my birthday but that is for a sad reason). Most of the pictures in this post are available at higher resolution. Good as a reminder of how sad your life is to be stuck in a cubicle.

The trekking was indeed worth it. As not everyone opted for the bridge visit, it wasn't as crowded as the cable car or the viewing decks. But then again, there really isn't much to do here but enjoy the view.

One funny thing is how the breeze kept blowing the clouds over. They kept the place shrouded in mystery.
Like in the movie, The Mist; only minus the giant hybrids. And the clouds would be here one minute.....

..gone the next. Like what...????

It is near impossible to get any shot devoid of tourists. But at least, there was no rain despite the cloudiness.

The bridge has a glass bottom. When it isn't cloudy, you could see all the way to the rocky bottom. Not the best way to die. Smashed onto them rocks. Do you seriously want pain to be the last thing you feel?
But then again, if that's all you've ever felt in your entire life, what difference would it make to you then? Actually, by then, you should probably be so immune to the pain that it's your normal.

Take in the fresh air. Breathe in the mist or fog or cloud. Or be like me and take a gazillion shots because there is really nothing else to do.

Now you see.

Now you don't.
How awesome is that? Of course, if your other half does the same trick, it ain't so awesome then. Sucks to be you.

The air up there is slightly chilly and the occasional breeze does send a slight shiver down the spine but nothing to render bringing a jacket worth the effort.

Every where, it was just rocks and rocks and rocks. Oh yea, trees too.

Quite like Genting minus the cars and hipsters and uncles and aunties trying to get lucky with each other the slot machines.

There is no time limit on the bridge so go crazy and seriously, after all that walking, you'd want to make it worth the effort.

Wonder if anyone has ever attempted suicide here.

Looking back at the cable car station.

Time to descend. Luckily, it's via the cable car. Sorry but you have to trek back to the station on the same path you came from. So it'll be an uphill climb. I did tell you to really enjoy the scenery.

My first selfie of my 32nd year ^_^

Also, you guys should stop trying to look for any incriminating pictures of moi. There ain't none to be had here. Feel kinda sorry that you looked through the archives, to walk away empty handed.
