LGK turned me 32: Of sea and sun... and loads of sand.

On the way back from the highlight of this trip, we made a detour to this relatively quiet part of town since it was still too early for dinner. Located beside The Danna (or is it the other way round?), the area was rather devoid of any visitor.

In case you don't know, The Danna is a very posh hotel. A night's stay would set you back by a 4digit figure. That's like my monthly salary T_T

Say hello to the birthday girl =D I am still accepting birthday gifts. Christmas too. Might as well throw in new year.

There were a number of yachts docked. I wonder how the rental works. Do you get a dedicated spot?

Being in the place felt like being on the set of The Bold and the Beautiful. Not as the main character or even supporting cast. Perhaps the one to clean the set in between takes. If you've not heard of this series before, that's actually not a bad thing. Otherwise, you must be one of those fortunate tai tais who get to spend much time on the idiot box during the daytime. Astro used to play it on Star Channel in the afternoon. It is probably some women's guilty pleasure.

4pm is a relatively awkward time. Too late for lunch. Too early for dinner. Spot on for tea time but that'll ruin your appetite for dinner.

The whole place reeks of lifestyle of the rich and famous. My dress did blend in relatively well with the beach theme. What's missing was a pretty face and hot bod.

Is this how Miami is like? Or at least that's the impression Dexter gave me.

I like tapas as it allows you to try multiple different dishes without having to stuff yourself silly. Unfortunately, tapas also happens to be expensive as a meal :(

Nothing like sitting by the dock and watch your yacht bob up and down as the breeze blows away your worries. But, if you can afford a yacht, what worries would you have?
Certainly not where your next meal will come from.

A 5 minute walk away from the harbor park is this secluded beach.

There is another part of the beach that's sectioned off for guests of The Danna. Yes, that is how exclusive the hotel is.

Although it's smaller than Cenang beach, I prefer this as it is quieter and not as many people. Actually, there wasn't anyone else apart from us. The hotel guests had a special area to themselves, with butler services and all.

That's the lighthouse in the distance.

The only other inhabitants on this poorer section of the beach are these crabs. It was quite scary as I didn't want to squash them. But the bigger scare was..... jelly fish. And not just a signboard to warn but there were actually jelly fish in the water here.

No joke, bro though it wasn't like the water was infested with them. Nor were they huge ass. Don't be fooled by the (somewhat) clear water. Them jelly fishes are also clear, translucent type -_-

Other than that, this is quite the perfect beach to get tanned. While not looking forward to it (dreading it as a matter of fact), it was a pleasant surprise that my expired sunblock worked well as I didn't get tanned. Rounds of diligent applying and reapplying the sunblock lotion certainly come to fruition.

Although the water wasn't crystal clear, it was indeed magnificent. Breath taking even.

Gentle waves lapping over your feet, soft wind caressing your hair, this is the life.

Reminded me of that scene in Gattaca. It was tempting to just walk out into the sea and let it swallow me up.

More yachts and boat.

Seeking refuge from the unforgiving evening sun under the big tree. It was quiet with only the occasional sound of waves rushing to shore. So gentle, so soft. Like it would be  a waste if I ended my life there and then.

Such a pretty posy. So sad that it had to die when in full bloom, at its prettiest. Do you know why some people die young?
When you go into the garden, which flower do you pick?

If God only picks the best of us to join Him in the kingdom of heaven, that means He has no right/reason to unleash His wrath on us for destroying the world one piece at a time. What do you expect when you leave the rotten ones behind?
