XXXIII: Sweet treat

16, Section 4, Xinyi Rd,
 Da’an District,
Taipei City, Taiwan 106
This isn't the specific address but it's the nearest my camera geo-tagged it. Although it's not as common as the noodle dish, you can find (half) shoplots selling soya drink and deep fried snack on every other street.

After a disappointing dinner, we decided to try and redeem our visit here by going for some dessert.  Found this shop in Google Map which was just within walking distance. Some of these shops are open 24hours which is puzzling since there aren't that many people anyway after 9pm. Featuring home made soya bean drink, we ordered the drink along with some savory snack to go along. The yu tiao was slightly oily but very crunchy as it was rolled thinly. It would be perfect with porridge though it did pair well with the sweet soy drink. On the right is the Taiwanese pancake. It is like our roti canai. But folded. And thicker. This tasted quite bland in comparison with the former. Rather dry too.
