Movies: Under the Skin

Another one of those films that got people sit up and pay attention, it's not exactly due to Scarlett Johansson's beauty (she's actually quite pudgy here). Nor is there lots of sex scenes to keep you riveted. The movie storyline doesn't have a very straight forward plot unless you count an alien luring men to their deaths with monotonous conversation as one.

To be honest, the movie can be either a drag or deeply engaging, depending on what kind of a moviegoer you are. If you are looking for something light, this is bound to bore you to death. But if you want something artsy with lots of room for epiphany.

I'm not going to say that this is an easy movie to enjoy but does show how ugly humanity can be but also how we can be kind if we want to.
