Do you realize how difficult it is for a non-Chinese reading person to dig this up? So, please appreciate this. Of course, the food here is also quite good so it's rather worth the effort.

I wanted to check out East Metro Mall,  a supposedly happening underground shopping mall that caters for everyone and prices aren't high. Not sure if it was because we were early or the mall has seen better days as most of the stores are still not open at 11am and while they do sell a variety of item (from household to hand phone accessories), there wasn't anything that particularly stood out. Oh, no clothing either which was a bummer as that was exactly what I rode the train all the way to MRT Zhongxiao Dunhua Station for. Still, undeterred, we decided to make the most of it and explore the town on food in search of food.

Located right opposite the train station when you come up, this little corner stood out like a sore thumb. Probably because none of the other surrounding shops are open at that hour. We decided to give it a go and it turned out to be a good choice.

The menu was for meat ball with soup and noodle soup. We opted for the latter to be shared.
It came out to be a tomato based soup noodle with bits of pickled veggie and minced pork. For the first time, I see them serving chili oil and my heart was singing. This dish is one of the more flavorful one that we had in Taipei.

A rather great way to end the trip.
