Movies: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

One of the more highly anticipated movies of the year, it is part of the Harry Potter franchise. Or so the feeling that I get from those Harry Potter fans. While there are the few references to Harry Potter, you wouldn't be at a (total) loss if you don't follow the series or understand it completely.

Depending on how you find the original series, Fantastic Beast is rather different. For starters, there is no Harry Potter. Only a man who was traveling with a suitcase full of magical beasts. Sorry, did I just spoil it there for you? Anyhow, magic are abound in the entire movie yet the storyline felt rather mediocre. Eddie Redmayne who plays the main character is unlike the typical English bloke. Katherine Waterston, on the other hand, was endearing at first but that turned into annoyance.

However, that is the only reason that kept the movie going. Not in a good way. Somehow, this movie was just so-so for me. Certainly not quite worth a visit to the cinema.
