Review: On Kee, Kampung Cempaka

 Jalan PJU 1/1,
Kampung Cempaka,
47301 Petaling Jaya
Tucked away in this Chinese village which is rather out of place in PJ, they have another shop in Subang in case this is too isolated for you. But there's more parking option here. Mainly because there isn't proper parking spots so anywhere non-traffic obstructing is fair game.

They used to operate as a stall in another Chinese restaurant before the owner decided, "hey, I can cook and sell chicken rice too" and kicked them out for good. It's quite a blessing in disguise as it turned out, they have more customers now in their own restaurant. Their glass is probably testament to how long they have been in business. Or that they opted for rather cheap glassware.

Roast pork and sweet pork. Surprisingly, their roast meat including chicken was just so-so.

Curry noodles had a nice hint of coconut milk. Not too rich or creamy. Or spicy.

Pork meat balls were large and meaty.

Wantans were surprising winner here. Roughly the size of old 50cent coin, each comes with a fresh shrimp inside. Definitely worth the trip.
