It's hard to miss this place with its long bright signboard. Also you have to see it when you turn into this part of Puchong. Bored with the usual places, we decided to give it a try.

This is the hawthorne drink with plum RM 3.50. Kinda sweet with a tinge of sourness. Very thick and given the choice, I would have diluted it a bit more.

Seven flavors fried tofu RM 4.50
Another blog highly recommended it due to its unique taste and texture. Actually, apart from the curiously crunchy outside layer, it's not that great. Heck, even the skin also not that crunchy. Lightly coated with flour before it's pan fried, the tofu are sprinkled with chili powder before serving. Unique but not terribly exciting.

Pork noodle RM 9.50
The sad thing about pork noodles (in general) is you don't know when they serve it with pork liver. Since neither of us eats it, they tend to go to waste. I would have preferred to swap them with more pork belly that were ribbon-y and long. Soup was quite good, along with the noodles.

Char siew and shrimp wantan noodles RM 9.50
The noodles were totally unexpectedly good. Crunchy texture, slightly oily, it goes into my book of good wantan mee 👍Char siew was a slight letdown as it lacked the fat to make it juicy, no caramelization on the skin. The shrimp wantan is worth mentioning as these were huge with one whole not-small shrimp in it.

Signature custard bun RM 4.90
Ordered these as dessert. Unfortunately, the waiter forgot and rushed the order for us which resulted in hot bun with freezing center 😬Wasted because the bun was really fluffy and the filling (which melted on the outside) were perfection in terms of flavor and texture.

Will definitely come back here again, even if only for the lau sa pao
