Oriental Pavilion, Jaya33

If you're not fortunate enough to have friends who could afford a wedding dinner here but still want to try their menu, fret not as apart from dim sum, they do lunch and dinner as well. One of the best ways to enjoy tea is with the tea being kept warm throughout the meal.

Fried oyster.

A waste of a perfectly fresh oyster though this is quite a different way of consuming it.

Stir fry veggie. I find these too green tasting on its own, without rice.

Grilled pork belly. For a period of time, Chinese restaurants were taking on Iberico pork with some Asian twist. Some did relatively well, relying on a good cut of meat with marinade. I've been fortunate enough to not have experienced the flip side of it.
These were juicy and succulent. It goes without saying that if you're all about making healthy choices, this should be off your list. You won't find that usual sweet BBQ sauce here as it's rather dry. Still, the herbs been marinated long enough that you'll be left wanting more.

Not your normal rice but claypot cooked rice infused with oil from steamed Chinese waxed meat. After all these years of thinking that my mother was trying to fatten me up as a  kid by adding lap cheong to our rice, it turned that she thought I liked it that way hence years of it 😒Thanks, mom for building up my lap cheong intolerance.

Of course, there's more than just Chinese waxed sausages. There would be chicken, pork belly and mixed sausage. They may not look very bright nor appetizing. Just wait until you have one with the rice, almost heavenly. However, it's not recommended to order this in small company or appetite as the best way to enjoy this is to have a little bit of everything. These are all fat, yo.

Black sesame glutinous rice balls with ginger soup. How else to end a sinful dinner if not with something to burn the fat up in your stomach?
