Instead of going on the full cafe front like its' neighbors, Brot'z decided to go on the bakery route. Or at least offer something that doesn't require cooking nor melt once it's out of the fridge.
Iced chocolate because all that carbs can make you thirsty. Excellent? No. Good? Not quite. Just not too sweet but it also wasn't very thick either.
How do you make mediocre baked good better? Add cheese on them. Even if they are kinda dry and crusty, just do it. Hope that your customers won't notice. Of course, make sure you put on some nice fancy cheese and not your standard sliced cheese in a packet. Then they end up becoming an accessory to the bakery crime.
But what do you do when cheese doesn't work well as dessert? Sweet bread topped with lots of sugar. Be it in normal sugar granules or powder form, hope that it does what cheese can. Sometimes that work. Sometimes, when the bread is just dry, no amount of sugar can coat that.
They do have an ala carte menu which hopefully fares better.
