Originally, I wanted to eat buffet next door. However, they were closed due to water shortage 😭This was back during the water pipe repair works week. Since this place looked quite spanking new, we decided to give it a try. Yeah, that robot did pique our interest. Initially, I thought it was purely for show. Turned out that it actually does cut up stripes of noodle that falls into the pot of boiling soup. I only wished that they would have dressed the star of their shop in a better choice than a leather jacket, beret and finished the whole look with a pair of sunglasses switches between blue and red color. Fashion police would book it for a serious crime against fashion. And maybe a bit of humanity of assaulting our vision with that spectacle.
The menu is mostly Chinese noodles, some comes with set. For once, I didn't order the set as I wasn't that hungry.
Dry wantan noodle.
I'm very wary of wantan noodles in general as majority of the time, the noodles either turn out tasting like strands of flour or a total mush. While this isn't their signature noodle, it was unexpectedly good. The noodles were thinner so you get a better munch with each munch. The gravy was all right. A close contender to the best wantan mee but lost at the taste department.
Spicy beef noodle.
I thought it was going to be super spicy like malat. Not even close but it can still make you sweat a bit. They took the pains of slicing the beef thin enough to cook in the hot soup. You can't see the noodles (my bad) but they were quite fat, kinda like udon except rougher. There's a edge where the robot sliced it from the dough block which you could feel with your tongue. The texture of the noodle was a little too rough for my liking. Soup tastes great though.
Most of the items on the menu hover around RM 15 with sets at an additional of about RM 5 that'll get you an appetizer and drink. Portion's not large, enough to feed a normal human being, not hangry.
