Onde Onde happened to be one of Citta Mall's longest running tenant. Others like Chawan has since made way to new names. In recent times, the mall decided to uplift its image by having more tenants in its stable. Will they survive like Onde Onde or will they close down one year down the road? For now, the prospect looks bright as the mall is more crowded these days, a far cry from when you see only small groups of people, mostly for grocery shopping or the cinema.

I don't usually go for restaurants serving local food because it feels like a bloody rip off to pay close to double of what you would outside (I'm looking at you, Serai). Then sometimes, there's this thing called hormones that make you crave for all the wrong things at all the wrong times 💢

Fried asam laksa RM 15
I do like the original soup version (in general) so it piqued my interest to see how they would deliver this. Turned out to be quite good. A little on the wet side without as much fish (or maybe they've disintegrated during the frying process and ended up sticking to the noodle?), you can most definitely tell that it has the basic flavors of an assam laksa. The bits  of raw pineapple make it even more authentic. For RM 15, it is a bigger than usual portion. Just enough to satisfy a normal person. Not one that's hungry from hormones.

Fish & chips RM 22
Their tagline already say "Sharing Malaysian Flavors", so why would my dinner date go order this? Because it was there on the menu 😑
Fries were freshly fried, likewise the fish which was just all right.
