Tea & croissant: Maccas

Just when we rolled out a different ordering system (pay at one counter, pickup at another), UK's McDonalds come with this self-service kiosk. It's a touch screen so you select your meal, pay by credit card and take a token. You can select to either pick it up yourself or have it delivered to your table. It takes away much of the awkward human interaction.

I know what you're thinking, "omg, why fast food of all the things?!?!"
Well, it was our last day there and we needed to grab something quick before our cab to the train station arrives. They were running some contest and depending on what you get, some of it entitles you to free food e.g. pie. Yup, all free. No purchase required. I was tempted to give them to some homeless guy.

Maybe it was our arse luck but the fries weren't crispy. This is the medium set btw. Their menu doesn't differ much from ours apart from our localized ones e.g. porridge and spicy fried chicken.

Obviously, the burgers are bigger but quality still the same. It's a sad piece of dry meat without much of any sauce or gravy with equally depressing vegetables.
