Tea & croissant: Brioche Dorée

Our first meal in Paris and it happened to be a franchise bakery. We didn't know any better since it was our first day and hungry. Generally, most of the cafes do have set meals which can stretch your money a bit as the portions are generally big.

Egg and cheese baguette. The first ting that struck me was how tough the bread was. But it's not the stale kind of tough. Just .... tough. It takes a bit of effort to bite but I guess it ensures that you don't have soggy bread. But come to think of it, most of their baguettes don't come with sauce or even mayo. If it was in any Asian country, the people would have given it a thumbs down. Somehow, in general, this is how Paris rolls.

And I like it.

Not having to deal with dripping sauce or soggy bread, come on. Why aren't we doing it already?
