My second job was in this hood. Back then, our lunch options were limited to road side stalls due to convenience sake. Parking was a luxury then and nobody would think of giving up their precious spot after they secured one in the morning. Which is why, I'm thankful that Yellow Apron was operating back in 2006. Otherwise, I would be dead broke 😂 Not that they are very expensive but one meal here can get me almost 2 at the
chap fan stall.
We were here after dinner for some dessert. Their array of cakes is quite a spectacle. While
Rekindle offers possibly every cake under the sun, Yellow Apron focuses on a more niche market. Something that you don't get often but would want to.
They most certainly don't look the part but they are exotic, to say the least when you compare it with Secret Recipe. I find that their cakes are unusual. Not bad but definitely not something for the masses. An acquired taste.
Mocktails because you don't want to go back to the office reeking of alcohol.
