This place has been around since my high school days. That's a good 2decades ago. It's still around even after another better newer dim sum joint has closed down. I want to say they are surviving because the food is good but ...... 😅Kawasan 18 (11.44 mi)

My least favorite version of shrimp dumpling: when it comes with chives.
The skin could have been thinner but nothing could have saved it from the monstrosity of chives.
The steamed sweet pork bun was slightly better. If you're unlucky, some places would sneakily snick in something close to chives: parsley.
Steamed rice roll or chee cheong fun. Not many places can execute it well enough where the layers are not too thin with a right balance of sweet/savory sauce.
Water pan fried pork bun. I only like the buns themselves as they have a slight crispiness to them. The filling is usually contaminated with chives.
Their porridge still has lumpy bits of rice. I prefer them smoother to the point that you can't tell it was rice. That's a tall order for most dim sum places though.
Salted egg yolk bun. It doesn't have that melting factor going on. And that's a pivotal thing for these golden treasures. Nothing ruins lau sar pao quite like finding your pao not lau-ing when you break it open. Puchong still holds the title of best melting lava bun.
Deep fried prawn spring roll. Love the crispy skin. Love the juicy prawns. Love the mayo.
Fried sesame balls with lotus filling. I was late into the game because the paste would usually stick to the roof of my mouth and that's annoying af. It still does now but the idea is to bit the paste with the crispy skin together so that they stick together.
Fried carrot cake. Best ones come with a bit of chili and some preserved turnip. Sometimes, dried shrimp is also thrown in for good measure. If the carrot cake chunks are too big, you're in for a sad mushy time.
Braised vermicelli noodle.
This was an order gone wrong. Not sure if it was on my dad or chef's part but it's probably something I'd order while recovering from the dreaded sore throat or flu because it's almost bland and go down the throat without itching it further.
