Although Pandamaran is generally known for its seafood, there's really just this one particular street where everyone flocks to. There are other restaurants tucked away in some corner that you need a local to tell you where and how to find it. Luckily for you, this one isn't that difficult. Except for parking.

A mild take on hokkien mee, it doesn't have that pork lard taste to it. Not bad if you're looking for something that doesn't taste too rich. Not good if you were expecting that artery clogging goodness.

Stir fried glass noodle. The best ones are drier. Here, they add bits of dried shrimp to make it even more tasty with generous helping of whole (!) shrimp and lots of egg. There's some squid in there too. Definitely must try and forget about the boring char kway teow.

Lala in soup. The best ones would be strong with garlic and a hint of wine. If the lala are big fresh and juicy, you're most certainly in for a treat. Make sure to have it with this type of lala. Anything else doesn't work as well.

Oyster omelet. You have the night market version that is usually a slop of starch and egg. Nothing remotely like that here. It's cooked on a hot plate so everything continues cooking at the table. While I don't particularly enjoy the spring onion in there, the juicy oyster makes me forgive them.

Deep fried yam sticks and prawn.
Kinda like tempura but different batter. They use the same kind for fried sotong. Sticks of yam with chopped prawn dipped in batter before it's deep fried. Request for the special chili sauce. The bottled one won't do it justice.

Sweet and sour crab.
Comparing the Pulau Ketam with this is like comparing heaven and earth. The island has become so commercialized that even the food isn't spared. Pandamaran is still one of the best places for seafood. Sure, you may pay higher but the quality does make up for it. The crabs are big and fresh, cooked in a way that was complimentary.

What better than fried mantou to slurp up the gravy?

Stir fried rice noodle with crab.
If you want to have a seafood taste to your noodles, this is your best bet. It does get a bit messy but that's to be expected when it comes to crab.

There's supposedly a branch in Puchong but I don't recall if they are still in business now.
