Opened in last quarter of 2017, Sushi Hut promise to bring you good sushi but at affordable prices. Think of it as Sushi Mentai's competitor/cousin. However, unlike Mentai, Hut hasn't really caught on with the (cheap frugal economical) masses yet as the place isn't packed even during dinner time. Maybe it just needs some form of marketing? I sincerely hope that by the time you read this, they are still in business because the food is actually not bad😂

Their kaiten belt offers sushi at less than RM 5. Yes, the size is smaller. Don't expect it to be ultra fresh. What you get is decent sushi which is fresh enough.

Crab stick salad sushi and egg salad sushi. Both are savory sweet though I think the seaweed had absorbed some of the moisture or it's been out for too long as it wasn't crispy (enough) anymore.

Egg (omelette) sushi and spicy sushi. OK, so I forgot what that orange looking sushi is but hey, they both were good 👵

Salmon sashimi and fish roe sushi. The salmon slice wasn't actually that thin that you could see through. Definitely bang for your bucks. Fish roe was kinda small. Not enough.

They do offer more extravagant (by economical sushi standard) dishes like grilled eel and egg with mentaiko. Both didn't come in a pair to keep the prices down which is a good idea. Lets you have a bite to sample without breaking the bank. The eel was thinner than the salmon, a pity because it was nicely done and I would have liked to have more 😝

Pickled seaweed and cheese topped cucumber-crab stick roll. To keep their prices low, they pack a higher ratio of rice into their sushi which makes (economical) sense. However, that also means you'll be really stuffed from rice alone. These were not bad but I was getting a little sick of all the rice.

Apart from the belt , you can order from their ala carte menu that is rather extensive. The soft shell crab was made to order and did come with a generous portion (as compared to their sushi range) of the seafood. Made to order, it was fresh and crunchy.

A little clam soup to finish things up. Standard cheap clams in a miso broth.
