Movies; We Need to Talk About Kevin
Tilda Swinton as a mid aged housewife. It is difficult to imagine after a rather androgynous character in Constantine. But she delivered a stellar performance here as a woman dealing with a challenging son. Similar to another movie, here she is cast as the main heroine. Of how one picks up the pieces.
Done in flashbacks, it may sound familiar, due to its similarity with real life events. Possibly the nightmare of any parents, how do you continue with your life, knowing that your son caused the death of someone else's? The guilt is just overpowering and it's evident in Swinton's portrayal of a mother whose son grew up to be just that. I'd recommend this movie for the alternate perspective on the massacre.
