My childhood memories has a special place for hot pepper soup. There was a place in Sungai Buloh leading up to the old airport where the road was lined with shops selling hot pepper soup. Chicken, pork, all together in one bowl. The best one is with the pork belly. So yummy after it's reheated.Centerpoint Bandar Utama,

Thus, I was delighted to find this nearby though I wasn't sure if it's as good as my memory's version.
The place was originally a Japanese restaurant. The current owner retained most of the decor as well as the utensil. Smart business move albeit el-cheapo.
Unsure of the heat/spicy level, we opted for iced water for what may be a fiery experience of our lives.
Stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic. Something mild to start off dinner.
I don't like it when they use big leaves because that translates to more chewing which is more effort.
Omelet with sweet roast pork. So easy that I could probably whip it up at home if I don't mind the oil splatter. Definitely something for the kids.
Pork pepper soup.
If you come here and don't order any variation of it, just save yourself the trouble and go to McDonald's next door instead.
It was boiling hot when served so it was hard to discern what was burning the tongue: heat or pepper? The answer came after the soup cooled down a bit. Sure, they were rather heavy handed with the pepper but lacked the omph from copious amount of ginger and Chinese cooking wine. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, just that it has room for improvement.
