To be honest, this place may have now closed down which is quite a waste because the food is really not that bad. Though the service could do better.
The only reason we were there was due to Offpeak. It was still quite new then as there were still congratulatory flower stands at the entrance. Manned entirely by a Malay crew, there were times when they were more interested with their conversation than paying customers but I suppose we all need a little break every now and then?
Margarita pizza RM 16 - thin crust, pomodoro sauce, mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil.
Freshly made, the cheese was still hot and melting so it gets stringy as you try to pull a slice away. The thin crust was also crispy, a perfect foundation for this simple pizza. The ingredients are fresh and certainly made it a good pizza.
Braised lamb shank rm 32 - lamb braised with tomato, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, rosemary, vegetable stock, served with mashed potato and side salad.
I wasn't expecting something remotely spectacular but they managed to cook this long enough that the meat was just falling off the bones. The flavor was great with the potato serving as a blank canvas for the hearty gravy. The accompanying gravy was different from the one with the meat which turned out to be rather salty on its own.
If they have indeed closed down, it is rather unfortunate as the food was not that bad. But then again, it is a cut throat business in F&B.
