Located in a rather quiet part of town, PJ Hills might not strike you as a place to get not-so-ordinary Indian food. But they do have a couple of tricks up their sleeves apart from the usual roti and nasi lemak. Although the place is open 24hours, you would want to be there early before the dinner crowd kicks in for something unusual.

The thosai was crispy and thin, perfect for people who don't like them thick and slightly mushy. The sauces were commendable as it was spicy enough to balance out the bland thosai.

Mutton kothu parotta. When tk asked me to order this over whatsapp, my mind went wtf as it was something totally new to my Chinese brain. My fair share of mamak didn't register it before and lest to fall victim to some prank, I waited for him to arrive instead. Turned out that it was actually a legit name of a dish =| It's basically roti canai cooked minced with mutton and egg. Be prepared to have the heat (both temperature and chili) to set your mouth on fire though I don't know which was worse: the temperature or chili?

Either way, it was quite an interesting diversion from boring mamak or banana leaf rice.
