XXXIII: I come in peace

We started the day with some coffee. We thought we ordered breakfast from the same coffee stall but it was a miscommunication which ended well. The coffee wasn't that great to begin with anyway.

After the museum, we ventured to a nearby park. Called the 228 Memorial Park, there were people exercising, families with their kids about. It looked very much like your ordinary park except it isn't.

The Wiki page is a good page to learn more about this park. Before this trip, I didn't know much about Taiwan but I have a new found appreciation for it. Their struggle and beliefs, they have since come a long way. Now, if only they could have more signage in English.

The people are warm and they have moved on from the past. Of course, who could forget their crazy parliament sessions? I think it's entertaining in a good way. It'll be interesting if Malaysia could reach that stage and not have someone thrown into jail. But then again, what do I know? Our political scene is ever changing and depending on who you read. Things may be looking up or we are just doomed.

The park has nice flowers, very well tended to. How come Malaysian parks are left to rot after few years? Oh yea, because we resort to building new ones -_-"""

Close to the park is the presidential office building. Funny thing is we were randomly walking to look for a bus station when we chanced upon this.

The roads leading there were very wide and surprisingly not busy.

I think it would make for a nice place for bridal shoot 💗If you can't afford an overseas trip, give our own castle some consideration then.
