Review: Dengkil Food Court

Despite being located quite a distance from Cyberjaya, it's not unusual to see throes of office workers flocking to this bustling but hot town. There are many stalls in this food court, most of which are Chinese food. This one happened to be a rather forgettable chicken rice.

Of course, it was memorable for being so ordinary that it was painful. Reminds me of why I generally steer clear from chicken rice and the likes. The stall is located towards the end of the food court. Next the exit road.

However, sometimes it's a case of convenience. So you have to order food from the nearest stall where you table is at. I still don't like it =(

The one genre that I like is the economy rice. So many choices with many different combinations. My usual MO would be no rice, 1veg, 1meat and maybe 1egg. Sounds not much but if you take more of each, they can still charge quite a lot. There are two stalls. One located at the beginning of the food court, the other just few steps away. The first stall has more variety of the usual kind while the second has more specialized dishes. Both are good.

In case if you are wondering, these are relatively small portion (remember, no rice) but this is eons ago. Nowadays, my plate would be quite filled. However, since last week, my appetite during lunch diminished significantly. I still do feel the hunger pangs but no appetite to go have a proper meal that lunch is now biscuit and coffee.

Any Cyberjaya worker would know of the famous Uncle Lim Fruit juice. It's not in the food court itself but at the row of shops beside it. I don't think it would be wrong to say that Cyberjaya has probably supported Uncle Lim's children to study all the way to overseas, not that I know that for a fact but it's a possibility given how busy the stall is during lunch hour.

The MO here is simple. Line up. Decide what fruit(s) combo you want. Order. Wait. Pay.
I like cucumber, star fruit and sour plum combo. Papaya and milk is supposedly an elixir to enhancing your boob size. Taste wise, it is very creamy and rich, not bad. Just not when you have to finish the entire thing yourself. That could be a meal by itself.

If you are pressed in time and not very choosy, they have ready made juices e.g. dragon fruit, orange, coconut. There are also cut fruits for takeaway on top of whole fruits. A happy ending indeed.
