Review: Solaris (2002)
The trailer is so deceptively wrong that it doesn't give justice to the movie. At all. The vibe of it is wrong on so many levels that it is painful to watch. Re-watching it for the second time because it was there, at first glance it is a sci-fi but not quite.
The plot revolves around Dr. Chris Kelvin played by George Clooney. It is one of his more serious characters so none of that suave moves like in Up in the Air. It delves on human memory and connection. One thing that really stood out was the soundtrack. Poignant, it couldn't have complemented the theme better:
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.
