Review: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

The last installment that I watched in the series would have been at least 3years ago. In my rented room, alone at home, the movie played out on my 22" LCD monitor. In silent. Sorry, scaredy cat but still curious enough to see what the hype is about. Seriously, horror movies use sound to build up the suspense. Without the score, it just becomes another mundane run, hide in the dark.

How does the latest one fare? For someone who's only watched one other, I can't compare it with the rest. On its own, it has its scary moments. Nothing too frightening. Some even cliched. If anything, the plot is eerily similar to Sinister. Are people just running out of ideas for good horror movies?
